3/1– NMDVS to Hold Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at its Rural Veterans Coordination Program Office in Shiprock (10am)(Shiprock)(Northern Navajo Veterans Center, Bldg. 5080/Tachiinii Blvdl, South Hwy 491) The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services will officially open its Shiprock Rural Veterans Coordination Program office with a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. 3/18–NMDVS to Participate in Rio Rancho Veterans Resource Day (9am-2pm)(Sabana Grande Community Center/4110 Sabana Grande Ave. SE Federal, state and local service agencies will join the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services to present information on available VA and state veterans benefits. 2/15–Military & Veterans Day at the Legislature (11 a.m. Ceremony)(Santa Fe/State Capitol Rotunda)-The service and sacrifice of our active-duty service members and veterans will be highlighted and honored at the annual day during the Legislature set aside for our military community.  Special recognition will focus this year on the New Mexico National Guard…and a significant anniversary in its storied history.
